Learn how this grandmother of 5 is getting active again with VZfit.

Mary is a 66 year old Administrative Assistant from Rochester, New York. She is a mom of 4, a grandmother of 5, and has been an active member of the VZfit community since March of this year.

I look forward to my rides (notice I didn’t say workout) and can’t wait to get on my bike…I can ride for half an hour and not realize how much time has elapsed.

What was your workout routine like before you had VZfit ?

I live in a beautiful part of the country in Rochester, NY.  We have easy access to bike paths, hiking & walking trails, skiing, kayaking, boating, fishing, swimming, lakes, rivers, a canal and waterfalls (there’s even one in the middle of downtown), zip-lines and numerous golf courses. Over the years I’ve taken advantage of nearly all of them but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become less active.

What problems were you trying to solve with VZfit?

I love good food, good service and good wine but since leaving the restaurant business, where I walked constantly, I’ve put on a few pounds.   I also love to travel and although I don’t have much opportunity right now, I’m planning on doing more in the future. With that in mind I knew I needed to do something besides work in my garden.  Last year I started walking regularly and was up to 3 miles 4x/week….and then came winter.

Did you explore any similar products to VZfit and why did you choose us?

I’ve had gym memberships. The aerobic equipment was usually available but boring.  And I wasn’t a fan of the wasted time getting there or waiting for that piece of equipment to be available.  Frankly I couldn’t justify spending that kind of money either. So, over the years I’ve purchased or been given equipment: ski machine, treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, etc.   I found them boring and would find excuses not to workout. I did find one company that had videos of bike rides through the countryside and I loved those. I’d pop one in the player and ride to the vineyard they chose.  Ok, so let’s be real, how many times can I go visit the same place and not even get the chance to taste the wine? That’s when I started searching for a program that would let me ride my own bike and set my own course – go anywhere I wanted.  Fast forward to today and here we are – riding my own bike, catching bank robbers on horseback or just going where I want to go – thanks to VirZoom!

Which App do you use most, VZfit Play or Explorer?

I’m using VZFit more than VZExplorer – I just love the challenge and I’ll be darned if I’m going to let those bank robbers get away!  I look forward to my rides (notice I didn’t say workout) and can’t wait to get on my bike, take a warmup lap through any neighborhood anywhere in the world and then switch to my horse and catch those darned bank robbers. I can ride for ½ an hour and not realize how much time has elapsed.

VR will take a little getting used to but you’ll end up loving it. It gives you the activity you know you need and it’s FUN!

To people unfamiliar with us, how would you describe VZfit in 3 words?

I’ve told co-workers, friends and family about VZFit.  The 3 words I’ve used most are “awesome”, “fun”, “challenging”.

What would you tell someone who is considering VZfit?

This system doesn’t cost a small fortune like the gym membership which you’ll probably only use for 3 months (maybe).  I was unfamiliar with VR and am happy to find the staff to be very responsive to my questions. They even follow up to be sure I’m satisfied.  VR will take a little getting used to but you’ll end up loving it. It gives you the activity you know you need and it’s FUN!
