Road to 24k Challenge: Week 4

Ecuador

Ecuador is a truly incredible country in South America. It attracts tourists from all over the world and for good reason. Ecuador offers incredible landscapes, food, culture, and music making it the perfect spot for a vacation destination. Between rainforests, mountains, the Amazon, incredible coastlines, and the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador has so much to offer in the way of natural beauty. 

La Chorrera

At the start of this 10 km ride through Ecuador, you’ll start in a beautiful lush landscape. At the start of the ride, you’ll pass the hiking spot that leads out to La Chorrera. La Chorrera is a beautiful waterfall with incredible views leading up to it. Take in the beauty as you gear up for this great ride through the South American country. 

Chimborazo

Much of the attraction to this specific region of Ecuador is Chimborazo. The epically large and inactive stratovolcano of Chimborazo is an impressive peak of the Andes. You’ll be able to catch views of this epic natural wonder for most of the ride through Ecuador. Visitors flock to Chimborazo for mountaineering as it is the highest peak in Ecuador and the 39th largest peak of the Andes. 

Chuquipogyo

This incredible ride through the beautifully lush and mountainous region of Ecuador comes to an end in the small town of Chuquipogyo. While the village is small, it is known by many who frequent the area for mountaineering and braving the elevation of Chimborazo. Enjoy the epic views of the area as you finish this fun and inspiring ride through Ecuador. 

Thailand

The incredible and intriguing country of Thailand is an extremely popular destination for vacation and travel. With delicious cuisine, amazing beaches, temples, and impressive natural beauty, the scenery, and attractions of Thailand are perfect for the twelfth ride of the Road to 24k Challenge.

Hua Thanon

As you begin this curated 10 km ride through Thailand, you’ll start with views of the Hua Thanon. This river winds about the area that makes up the beginning of your ride as you head toward the coast. Take in the views of this waterway and get ready to see more amazing sights. 

Gulf Of Thailand

This engaging and fun curated ride takes you along the coast of the Gulf Of Thailand. The beaches and coastlines of Thailand are famous for their vibrancy and beauty. Get some great exercise as you take in the spectacular views of the beaches that attract tourists and visitors from all over the world. 

Pak Hat Beach

One of the notable beaches you’ll cycle past on this ride through Thailand is Pak Hat Beach. Enjoy the sun-soaked beauty of the gulf shores while you work out with VZfit. This beach will mark the final part of this January Challenge ride through Thailand.

Phanang Tak

The end of this January Challenge ride through Thailand curated by VZfit takes you over a beautiful scenic bridge crossing the Phanang Tak. Take in the views of this waterway that lets out into the gulf and pat yourself on the back for an excellent workout!

Alaska

On this 16 km ride through gorgeous Alaska, you’ll get a great workout while you get to take in some of the majestic views. With so much nature and wilderness, you’ll find this to be an exciting and thrilling ride as you keep on with the challenge. Let’s take a look at some of the beautiful things you’ll get to see while you ride through Alaska. 

Dalton Highway

The entirety of this 16 km ride through Alaska takes place on the Dalton Highway. Also called the Haul Road, this 414-mile road cuts from Fairbanks out to Deadhorse near the Arctic Ocean. As one of the northernmost roads in the world, it is host to treacherous conditions and wild adventure. Some tourists look to brave the road and are warned of the dangerous and treacherous conditions of the Haul Road as well as the limited services available to those who drive it. Luckily with VZfit, you can experience some of the epic views of the Dalton Highway without having to leave the comfort of your home. Enjoy the views from this epic roadway. 

Galbraith Lake

On this ride, you’ll get to see the tranquil and epic beauty of Galbraith Lake. Located around the 275th mile of the Dalton Highway, this body of water provides spectacular views from the roadway and your cycling route. Galbraith Lake was formed by glaciers long ago and is host to many recreational activities for visitors. Those coming to Galbraith Lake enjoy the camping, fishing, and serenity of the natural wilderness. 

Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

This route runs along the border of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. As you get exercise from the comfort of your home, you’ll see beautiful scenes of the wildlife refuge. As the traditional lands of the Iñupiat and Gwichʼin indigenous peoples, the land is filled with culture and ecological diversity. Enjoy the beauty throughout this epic ride!

Japan

On this 5 km ride, you’ll get to take in some of the beauty of the Kouri Islands section of Japan. With gorgeous coastal views and a reputation for relaxation and tranquility, you’re sure to feel great after getting your exercise and some epic views on this curated ride. Kouri Islands

The Kouri Islands are also known as Love Island due to the two heart-shaped rocks in the waters at Tinu Beach. According to local legend, the stones represent two ancestors of mankind who lived in a cave on the island as part of a local creation story. Take in the beauty and feel the love as you trek around the small but majestic Kouri Islands. 

Kouri Beach

At the beginning of this quick and intriguing ride around Kouri Island, you’ll pass Kouri Beach. Like many of the other shorelines and beaches on the island, Kouri Beach boasts vivid crystal blue waters, impressive rock structures, and greenery. Transport yourself to these gorgeous coasts from the comfort of your home while getting some great exercise. 

Kouri Ocean Tower

The Kouri Ocean Tower is a popular visiting space for those who venture to the island. With panoramic views of the sea and a white observation tower standing 82 meters high, those who venture into the Kouri Ocean Tower get some very epic views. Along your ride, you’ll get to see the white ocean tower which is also a very stunning structure.
