This week’s update brings some more hotly anticipated features and announcements: new and improved Racecar gameplay, improvements to shouts, and VirZOOM Arcade availability on PlayStation Network Europe!
So what’s new in Racecar? We’ll get into the details in a later post, but suffice to say, we’ve distilled the best things about Racecar into a version that works a lot better with the drop-in, drop-out multiplayer you see in our other VirZOOM Arcade games. Choose from two tracks: a flat, oval course, or a hilly, curvy course, both rebuilt with extra-wide margins to minimize unfortunate interactions between your car and the walls. After your second lap, beat your last lap’s time to stay in the game, and pass other drivers for a scoring bonus. Plus, don’t forget to calibrate your pedaling resistance, as higher resistance settings now let your car go even faster. This is now live on Steam, and coming soon to PlayStation.
VirZOOM Arcade is available on PSN Europe! And by “Europe,” we really mean a list of 26 countries that Sony groups in a shared region. (In case you’re not sure whether that includes you, the whole list includes Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Belgium, Czech Rep, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UAE, and the UK.) If you’re in one of these countries, you can now download VirZOOM Arcade on your PlayStation 4! And remember: If you’re interested in placing an international order for a VirZOOM bike, contact us at support@virzoom.com!
What else is new to shout about? This new build also includes a change to how shouts work. We found it was a little confusing to have some shout controls on one handlebar (or side of your controller) and some on the other side, so shouts are entirely controlled by the buttons on the right handle (or right-side face buttons of your controller, without using the D-pad). Again, this is now live on Steam, and coming soon to PlayStation.
